Another weak link in the Treasury? Christopher Whalen would reject Tim Geithner for multiple reasons including conflict of interests, ties too close to Goldman Sachs, and lack of solid financial background.
I am back in the saddle and trying to get up to speed. The Geithner confirmation continues to roll on, and Christopher Whalen is once again weighing in on the process, and the man.
Is Timmy to close to Goldman Sachs? He is not exactly a breath of fresh air, and the stench surrounding his taxes reeks like a beer belch. My position would be closer to Whalen’s than Felix Salmon’s, although Felix is doing a good job covering the drama. And if I have a man crush, it is on Whalen, at least in the most recent episode in Wall Street’s history.
