So does this mark the end of Adam Warner’s coverage of the Lenny Dykstra saga? Somehow, I think not. But either way, I won’t bypass an opportunity to post a favorite Green Day song. (For more on Lenny, go to Daily Options Report and type "Lenny Dykstra" in the search bar.) – Ilene

In an utterly shocking news development, Lenny Dykstra has gotten the heave-ho from TheStreet. Replaced by Dr. J. Hat tip Michael Comeau.
This story may get spun as Lenny taking personal time to handle his divorce, but time has been running out for Lenny. I have no doubt that TheStreet.com would have eventually pulled the plug because they can’t have a financial wreck pitching investment advice to the masses, especially one that is going bankrupt. And if TheStreet.com did dump Lenny, it was an extremely smart move on their part.
And then, depression set in. Depression by me I mean, wtf am I going to write about now?
I’ll honestly never understand why TheStreet started up with something that anyone paying attention could see was such transparent nonsense literally from Minute 1. And frankly, Lenny never would have had his brief run as a credible investment advisor without their stamp of approval. So whether they have any legal headache from this remains to be seen, and I don’t have particular sympathy for a sub who actually believed anyone realistically could have a 93-0 investment record without smoke and mirrors. But it’s not exactly a shining moment on TheStreet’s part.
Anyway, we’ll leave Lenny with some classic Green Day.
