I Think The Bulls Are Done Today In The Stock Market
I predict a stock market decline for Tuesday
The Fortune Teller Speaks:
I predict a decline for US stock markets on Tuesday, due to yesterday’s sluggish stock market gains and the Fed’s “taper talk” in the air.
Wall Street Beats & Jives:
All eyes on Wall Street are focused on the Fed, which is scheduled to meet next week. The old montage “don’t fight the Fed” is as true as ever now, and investors will be extra aware of any whiff of a bond purchase taper. The vibe among investors appears to be even split about whether the Fed will taper this month or not; either way we are looking at some serious stock market volatility as investors try to decide how to react and as the Fed finally decides on a course of action.
Today we had the NFIB Small Business Report released at 7:30 EST which indicated a slight incline in small business activity, with the index rising to 92.5 from 91.6, and and we are also due out for Job Openings and Wholesale Inventories at 10 AM EST. Today’s economic data will likely not have any effect on trading, as the Fed appears to be the dark cloud over investors.
Hindsight is a Beach and We’re Playing On It:
Yesterday we were 100% correct in our predictions, with the S&P 500 (NYSEARCA:SPY) rising .18% to get an all time high record (yawn), the Dow Jones Industrial Average (NYSEARCA:DIA) barely making a .07% increase, and the NASDAQ 100 (NASDAQ:QQQ) rising .15%. I don’t care whether the stock market goes up or down, just as long as we are right.
Greed or Fear?
Greed still appears to be in control among investors, however fear is starting to take hold due to all of this Fed taper business.
Fun Fact:
A town named Dear Trail in Colorado is going to vote today on whether or not to allow the hunting and shooting down of drones. Yes, the drones we associate with combat theaters. Take a shot at a drone here.
My Secret Sauce is Red:
My secret sauce is telling me about the bleeding of the bulls today.
