The latest issue of Barron’s cover story conveys their bullish view of the market for the year ahead. Further down, on the same cover, is a reference to a featured story quoting Ned Davis Research telling readers to plan now for a 20% correction.
The broad market, reflected by both the DJIA and S&P 500, dropped back about 1.7% last week. Was that the start of a bear market that Ned Davis Research is calling for or just a prelude to Barron’s optimistic view?
Trying to call ‘The Market’ is a fool’s game.
Instead, just buy shares of stocks that are underpriced while selling those trading at fair value or above. There will always be someone looking for an upturn while others are fearful.
