No surprise here, when the power went out at McDonald’s the service stopped, even though the kitchen was totally functional and the cash registers would physically open. They couldn’t transact because the employees did not know the unit prices, and without the electronic portion of the cash register adding and subtracting for them, they were lost. We are reminded of this… we have seen the future and it doesn’t work.
