What I'm realizing is wrong with Democracy is it sort of forces you to put up with awful leaders you completely disagree with as they hide behind this "will of the people" BS. At least in Europe, the minority is not silenced and the ruling party still has to form a majority coalition to get things done.
These Trump picks are getting scarier and scarier. Mike Pompeo (CIA) was a Koch-backed Tea Party Congressman from Kansas. He's pro-GITMO and pro-torture and wants Snowden brought to justice. Check out his Op-Ed in the Journal! He was also on the Bengazi Committee, trying to prosecute Hillary – I hope she got out in time! Not to mention, I'm not really seeing how serving 5 years in the army after college qualifies you to be in charge of our Nations vital International intelligence operations but hey, what do I know? I'm just one of those liberal elites who thinks qualifications matter… Brennan (current Director) worked for the CIA for 25 years, stationed in the Middle East and Asia and Petraeus before him was an Army lifer and was our General in Afghanistan and Commander of US Central Command – and we're trading them in for this guy:
Is it all going to be a big joke to the Conservatives when our intelligence fails and we're attacked again? I'm sure they'll still find some way to blame Hillary but, to me – it's as clear as any market prediction that we're heading for an epic Government failure.
