Climate Change Costs the US Economy $150 Billion a Year
Count on at least one billion-dollar climate disaster about every three weeks
Our warming planet is taking an expensive toll on the U.S. economy, costing about $150 billion per year, according to the U.S. National Climate Assessment released on Tuesday.
That’s not counting the associated loss of life, health care costs and damages to ecosystems, and the tally is likely to keep going higher.
