California Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis made a move to remove Donald Trump’s from the state’s presidential ballot on Wednesday, asking California Secretary of State Shirley Weber to explore “every legal option” at hand.
Kounalakis’s letter came hours after the Colorado Supreme Court ruled to remove the former president from their ballot. The California official said it was a decision “about honoring the rule of law in our country and protecting the fundamental pillars of our democracy.”
